Effective Treatment for plantar fasciitis in Geelong

.

Are you dealing with heel pain and want effective plantar fasciitis treatment in Geelong? Plantar fasciitis could be the culprit. This condition involves inflammation of a thick band of tissue running from your heel to your toes. It often causes sharp pain, especially in the morning or after periods of inactivity.

The cause of plantar fasciitis is excessive strain on the foot, which might result from high-impact activities, improper footwear, or abnormalities in foot structure. If you’re an avid runner, have a job requiring prolonged standing, or have high arches or flat feet, you’re at higher risk.

Treatment usually starts with conservative measures. Stretching exercises, such as calf stretches and plantar fascia stretches. Using supportive footwear or custom orthotics can provide additional relief. Over-the-counter pain relievers and ice application can also help reduce inflammation and pain.

For persistent cases our Geelong Podiatrists with over 7 decades of experience in treating foot pain will diagnose and treat your heel pain. Local Doctors refer to our clinic for more extensive treatment such as Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Therapy and Laser Therapy.  These effective, treatment strategies will be tailored to manage and ultimately alleviate your plantar fasciitis symptoms. Remember, with the right approach, recovery is achievable, and you can return to your regular activities pain-free.
