Total Care Podiatry is an accredited provider to:
NDIS/NDIA
Currently Total care Podiatry can service any client through NDIS if they are self managed or plan managed. Once the relevant documentation is in place we the client can then access podiatric services. Currently Total Care Podiatry are working towards becoming a registered NDIS/NDIA provider which will make invoicing much smoother for all clients.
DVA
All gold card holders need a referral from their GP that is valid for 12 months. Total Care Podiatry can provide all aspects of podiatry through DVA including; custom orthoses, medical grade footwear (if there is clinical need), general foot care (nail cuts, callous removal) and many other treatments.
Medicare referral – Chronic Disease Management (CDM)
People with a chronic health condition may be eligible for a referral for Podiatry through the Chronic Disease Management program. This enables elligble clients to receive a rebate from Medicare on their total appointment fee. Each client is allowed to have 5 allied health visits in a 12month period. If you require more appointments than this once the 5 appointments have been used, private health insurance can be used to supplement the other required appointments.
**Please note we do not bulk bill**
TAC/Worksafe
Prior approval and referral paperwork needs to be sent to the clinic before your appointment. Once approval for podiatry has been given Total Care Podiatry will invoice TAC/Worksafe directly. There are currently no out of pocket costs
My Aged Care
Clients wishing to access podiatry services through their aged care package providers can through Total Care Podiatry but must have approval from their case manager. The aged care group will then send a service agreement and the relevant documentation to Total Care Podiatry. Once the approval is in place then the client can have their podiatry services paid directly for by their aged care packaged.
Surfcoast Trek
Every year Total Care Podiatry sponsors the Surfocast trek by providing their podiatric services to trekkers during the event. Blister management and strapping are the most required treatments during the trek. Our podiatrists are able to give advice regarding footwear and blister management prior to the event for participants wanting to be more prepared for the event.
