Have you ever experienced Bunions?

What are Bunions?

A Bunion is the deviation of the big toe joint into the midline of the body. They can often caused by a combination of foot structure and the great toe joint not functioning correctly.

Bunions are a sign that abnormal forces are moving through your foot and lower limb, which can lead to problems with your muscles and joints in the future.

What are the symptoms?

Bunions themselves may not be painful, but the resultant poor mechanics of your foot and lower limb may lead to overuse and injury in other regions including:

  • Arch
  • Ankle
  • Midfoot or top of the foot
  • The lesser digits
If the bunion itself is becoming red, hot, swollen or is getting larger you should visit a podiatrist.
